A new preschool to replace that damaged in recent flooding, the school stands elevated above the surrounding landscape, with functional undercroft play space below. The playground builds on the school ethos of natural exploration and learning through a well devised arrangement of formal play, veggie planters and central dry gully surrounded by the soft foliage of ferns and grasses.

Trees were located to provide natural shade coverage upon maturity, with the unobtrusive shade sails offering UPV protection above key activity zones.
A dry gully which can flow with pumped water offers students exposure to playful natural elements, vegetation and textures, whilst vertical columns offer a blank canvas for local artists to add splashes of colour through painted designs.
